Nergal has dropped hints that he wants to take a break from Behemoth, perhaps even an extended hiatus so that Nergal can focus on creating some new art in a solo project. If Nergal's Instagram is to be believed, work is already under way on the project.
Based on the two short clips he posted, this new project seems to be like an acoustic, folk jam with some friends. Take a listen:
Quite the difference between this and songs like "Slaves Shall Serve" and "The Satanist" and the audio in the above two clips. Still, I admire Nergal for trying something different and not caring if it will alienate his current fanbase. He's clearly doing this for an audience of one… himself.
Between this acoustic project and his newly opened barber shop, Nergal has plenty to keep himself occupied for the near future.
