Poor Lemmy! His age is really starting to show.
Multiple reports state that Motorhead had to cut their show short in Salt Lake City, UT last night after Lemmy had trouble breathing. The band only performed four songs before Lemmy had to walk off stage. The band has since issued a statement saying Lemmy had problems breathing the thin Salt Lake City air:
The people are great, but the air is just too thin. The high altitude makes it difficult for breathing, and that’s what happened with Lemmy tonight in Salt Lake City. He feels very bad to have cut the show short, but being that high up, he had some trouble breathing well. Lemmy appreciates everyone’s concern. The fans always rally round!
Sure, the air is thin, but Lemmy also clearly has trouble breathing, no doubt from years of alcohol and tobacco abuse, which is still an ongoing issue. MetalSucks points out it's not going to be easier for Lemmy tonight, as the band is scheduled to play Denver, CO, which is about a thousand miles higher above sea level than SLC. Hopefully, Lemmy can pull through.

In more uplifting Motorhead news, the band was honored by the Los Angeles City Council earlier this week, in celebration of their 40th anniversary:
