2016 just keeps getting heavier and heavier...

Sumac, the group consisting of ex-Isis vocalist and guitarist Aaron Turner, Baptists drummer Nick Yacyshyn and Russian Circles bassist Brian Cook, will be bringing its particular brand of heaviness to your ears once more in 2016. The group released its debut album titled The Deal on February 17 of this year and is now back in the studio with Converge's Kurt Ballou knocking out a new album!

The album is being recorded at The Unknown in Anacortes, which is apparently some type of church configuration according to the band's Facebook. Though let's face facts here and admit that no matter where Sumac is recording its followup, we'll all still buy it because a lineup with those names couldn't possibly put out something bad.
