Vinyl has been gaining unbelievable amount of popularity in the last few years, with the RIAA reporting that the format makes bands more money than streaming does currently. In 2014, the format obliterated digital sales as well. So is it really that surprising that Amazon's highest-selling audio products during the 2015 holiday season were turntables?
Apple Insider reports that the Jensen JTA-230 3-speed stereo turntable was the highest selling audio product on the site with built-in speakers, to be exact. The second highest-selling product from the site was the Yamaha RX-V677 7.2-channel Wi-Fi Network AV Receiver.
While some might argue that vinyl is a fad, or just a bubble waiting to explode and make room for the next biggest craze in music consumption, there's no denying that the format has been an absolute behemoth over the past few years and seems to be on track to do so again in 2016.
