One of, if not the, biggest metal tours of the summer – Slipknot and Marilyn Manson, is being postponed for two weeks as Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has to undergo emergency surgery.
Taylor revealed in a statement moments ago, that he has to go under the knife for some last minute spinal surgery:
Regretfully, I'm sending this to our fans to inform you that we will be postponing the first couple of weeks of our upcoming U.S tour. Unfortunately, I had to undergo an unplanned spinal surgery. I am recovering nicely, and all went well! I need a little recovery time before hitting the stage. We will start the summer tour in Nashville on 6/28 and continue as previously scheduled. An update on the rescheduled dates will be available in the next few days. I hope you all understand and thanks for always having my back!
Spinal surgeries seem like no joke, no doubt years of touring have done a number on Taylor's back. But it must not be too major if Taylor will recover by the end of the month.
Update: Taylor has checked in with an update saying that he had a broken neck he didn't even know about and surgery was a success. Taylor offered a few more details on what happened. Â Here's what we got so far.
