Zao's career consisted of a steady stream of releases between 1995 and 2009, though after that things fell off a bit. There wasn't a hiatus or a breakup announced, but Zao just sort of stopped putting out music for a little bit. Fortunately, that'll get remedied on December 9 via the band's new album The Well-Intentioned Virus… which is a great name for an album.
Check out the new track "Haunting Pools" below, which is definitely haunting in its melodious aspects, and distorted right to hell in every other one. Then get your ass over to pre-orders and help Zao out, since this one isn't being released on a label.
