Crystal Fairy is the somewhat unlikely sludge group that features Melvins vocalist and guitarist Buzz Osborne and drummer Dale Crover, Le Butcherettes vocalist and guitarist Teri Gender Bender, and multi-instrumentalist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of At The Drive-In (and formerly of The Mars Volta).
Crystal Fairy will be releasing its debut self-titled album on February 24 via Ipecac Recordings, and the new song "Chiseler" is swaying me toward being more curious about it. Teri's voice fits the music really well, and the music itself is nothing overcomplicated – just some solid rock and roll riffs.
