Hey, remember The Damned Things? That was the group that featured Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley and bassist Josh Newton, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, ex-Anthrax guitarist and current Volbeat guitarist Rob Caggiano, and Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley.

The band put out Ironiclast in 2010, and then pretty much dissolved into nothing over the years. It seemed pretty safe to assume that The Damned Things were done for, but apparently not! According to Hurley in the 100 Words Or Less podcast, a new EP is in the works, though it likely won't be supported by live shows.

"I recorded five songs for an EP with The Damned Things — I don't think we'll be playing, Anthrax is still touring on their last record. ETID just put out their new record… uh, who else? Josh Newton, I think, has been playing lately. He tech'd for Joe for awhile; I'm not sure if he'll be back when we're back. So you know, that's all over the place."

There's really no telling what The Damned Things is going to sound like 7 years in the future from its debut, but I guess we're about to find out.
