It’s Monday and Mondays suck, so let’s grind it out with “Är din botten nåddfrom” from the upcoming Henry Kane album.
The end of January is looking crusty. Like buzzsaw crusty. Henry Kane (see: Poltergeist II) is a forthcoming Swedish powerhouse, featuring Jonny Pettersson (Wombbath), and are about to blast through the doors and turn your walls to sawdust. Henry Kane is d-beat/crust/death/grind glory.
“Är din botten nåddfrom” (Google translate: “Is your bottom reached from” or something along those lines) a direct, old school slab of aggression. The track kicks on with an immediate crust/punk vibe and pushes forward with an incredible Disfear/Tragedy vibe. But then it cuts and Henry Kane lose it, relentlessly blasting like Rotten Sound was spliced in. It sounds like the walls are going to come down.
It’s like the best parts of Disfear, Tragedy, Trap Them and Entombed thrown into a blender and pureed. The distortion is so heavy on this that it sounds like Henry Kane found a way to hook their guitars up to table saws and run with it. Meanwhile, the drums are like a stampede of shattering glass the vocals perfectly encapsulate madness and urgency.
Den Förstörda Människans Rike is due out Feburary 20th on Transcending Obscurity. You can catch more of Henry Kane’s madness here and here. Don’t miss out on this one.
