7-Eleven has made actual hot dog flavored water a reality and Limp Bizkit is nowhere in sight.
Yes, 7-Eleven somehow missed out on prime nĆ¼-metal revival marketing by teaming up with Limp Bizkit to name their new Big Bite Hot Dog drink after the band's 2000 record Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water. No use of "My Generation", "My Way", "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)" ā nothing.
So what does the Big Bite Hot Dog drink taste like? Allow 7-Eleven to explain.
"The Big Bite Hot Dog Sparkling Water combines the delicious and mouthwatering experience of 7-Elevenās iconic Big Bite Hot Dog into one refreshing beverage ā ketchup and mustard included. Gone are the days of alternating bites of a hot dog with sips of a beverage, now those on the go can swap the bun for bubbles."
Yeah, I think we'll stick to listening Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water over drinking actual hot dog water. Some of the comments on the 7-Eleven Instagram post for the drink are great, too. Highlights include:
- Is this Limp Bizkit approved?
- For the fellas drinking Glizzy juice
- You sell chocolate starfishes?
- The Limp Bizkit special
- Limp Bizkit's greatest album, "The Chocolate Starfish and the 7Eleven Big Biteā¢ļø Hot Dog Flavored Sparkling Water"
- Whatās next? Chocolate Starfish?!
- Who needs IPAs when you got dogwater
In all seriousness though, let's take a look at the line midway through the press release: "More details on the availability of this flavor will be revealed on April 1." It's clearly a goof, and a good one at that!
