There seems to be a growing amount of discontent amongst longtime Periphery fans about the sound of the band's new material. A narrative as old as the music business itself. Obviously, Periphery are doing something right if their shows are selling out all over the place and, I'm sure, they'll have a solid first week sales number of their double album when those figures come out tomorrow.
But that's just not what one certain metalhead wants out of his Periphery. He wants the Periphery of old, of their first album. In fact, this one unnamed fan was so pissed, he just decided to burn his Periphery hoodie. As opposed to, you know… donate it to Goodwill so somebody could actually keep warm in it.
As dumb as that is, what made it instantly more awesome is this excellent response from Periphery guitarist Misha Mansoor…
I have to admit that if it was my band and somebody did this, I would be just as stoked as Misha was.
Take a chill pill, former Periphery fan!
