Every year, Revolver magazine does a "Hottest Chicks In Metal Hard Rock" issue and it always spurs a bit of controversy. The reasoning is simple: it sells copies of the magazine, so much so, that it's expanded into a yearly calendar.
A few of the female metal fans in the scene took notice and decided hey, we can play this game too, and thus the list of 50 hottest guys in metal was born.

Devin Townsend came in at number 24, with one writer exclaiming "I get he's a weirdo, but I want to have sex with his brain." Lemmy makes the list at #12, I guess cause he gets all the groupies? Vegan straight-edge Cro-Mags frontman John Joseph makes the list at number five with the caption "yes, meat is for pussies." Well played! I'm a bit shocked to see Lemmy on the list, other surprise entrants include bassist Troy Sanders from Mastodon and Ben from Goatwhore.
