It's very hard for bands to stand out nowadays, but I think Scottish deathcore act Party Cannon have it all figured out. Check the admat for the Bay Area Deathfest this past summer:
Jesus Christ, Party Cannon. We've been through this! pic.twitter.com/WEZRkcvieF

Notice, one band definitely sticks out. ThePRP reports that the original admat did not have the additional coloration but that didn't stop these marketing geniuses from updating it to their desires. And I have to hand it to them. In a genre, where everything is about taking things to the extreme (extreme blast beats, extreme vocals, extremely unreadable logos) what's more extreme than doing the complete opposite of the norm?
The band is used to all the "viral" attention by now and are totally fine with it. They tell Buzzfeed:
“We are aware that the flyer is currently being shared a lot, though this is not the first time the logo has gone viral – probably closer to the fifth,” he said. It’s crazy to see how far it has spread and it’s always fun to see the spectrum of reactions it brings. I’m pretty sure 90% of the people that follow those pages have never even heard of Devourment but now they’ve heard of us, which I can’t really complain about. Every time it goes viral we definitely gain legitimate fans that listen to the music, attend shows, buy merch, and properly get what we’re about which is awesome."
That's the attitude to have. As for the sound of the band? It's basically Devourment…
