ALCEST's New Song "Oiseaux de Proie" Is Packed With Distant Screams And Dreamy Guitars

Much heavier than Shelter!

Much heavier than Shelter!

Alcest's new album Kodama comes out on September 30 via Prophecy Productions, and the band promised it would be a fairly different outing than its previous, sunny album Shelter. We were told the new Alcest would harken back to the days of distant screams, of dreamy guitars, of pummeling drums, and of a form of blackgaze in a way before that was even a thing.

Now the band has premiered its new song "Oiseaux de Proie" and thus far, that promise is being upheld in a big way. Pre-order the album here and check the song out below, because even if you've never listened to these guys before, you're going to love it.
