ALKALOID (ex-Obscura, Aborted, Dark Fortress) Will Stomp Your Face in With Their New Album

Headbanging to this one is not optional.

Headbanging to this one is not optional.

Alkaloid, the progressive death metal supergroup featuring the likes of Hannes Grossman and Christian Muenzner formerly of tech-death legends Obscura and current Aborted guitarist Danny Tunker, have premiered a stream of their brand new debut album, The Malkuth Grimoire, over at Loudwire. Give it a listen below, and prepare to give yourself whiplash, because headbanging is not optional while listening to this album.

It is no way an overstatement to say that The Malkuth Grimoire has the potential to be the best death metal album of the year. This is a band that's made up of nothing but master virtuosos of their respective instruments, and it features some of the most well-composed death metal songs I've heard in years, complete with some of the heaviest and grooviest riffs that'll ever fill your ears. This album is yet another perfect argument for the link between classical music and metal, and one that all metalheads should be paying very close attention to.

The Malkuth Grimoire is released to masses today. Order this beast here.
