Minnesota-based black metal entity, El-Ahrairah, is making a return to the blackened fray this week. The now quintet of musicians, fronted by Travis Nordahl, has experienced some radio silence in the previous few years following a string of demos and collaborations from 2009 to 2013. This new album will see the group following up a demo entitled The Gates of Dawn, which Travis did on his own. El-Ahrairah melds noise and black metal into a twisted and tormented blend of chaos.
Jon over at Invisible Oranges premiered their newest track, "Stone Throwers", yesterday off of their impending, self-titled, cassette-only release due later this week.
The group features Nordahl on guitars and vocals and Dillon Allison on drums, and Sam Loesch (synths/vocals), they have been the longest tenured members of the group. The trio is now buttressed by Arron McLean (bass/piano/vocals), and Graham Barton (guitars). Their self-titled full-length will feature nine tracks and the artwork of Dan Wieken. Check out their new music below and stay tuned for the release of the album through Underground Soundscapes.
