Legendary 80's thrashy-punk icons Bl'ast! recently released an unearthed record called Blood!, despite having been recorded in the aforementioned era. Now Dave Grohl and the band talk about what it was like to find and mix the record almost 30 years later!

First and foremost, it's interesting to hear Grohl talk about recording aesthetics then versus now and how mixing the stems from the 80s is so much different than if they were mixed then. Really puts it into perspective how far we've come (not in a good or bad way) and what's considered to sound "good" now in a genre that I at least feel like is overlooked in terms of production. At the very least, just sit through the not-even-three-minute video and appreciate what's gone on with this record. I'd never really heard of the band up until Blood! was announced and all over social media, and now I'm regretting not having heard them before.
