Born of Osiris just released their latest Tomorrow We Die Alive on August 20, but the gears are apparently turning for their next record! It sounds nothing like Tomorrow We Die Alive either.
While I really enjoyed Tomorrow We Die Alive, the new stuff sounds like it's going to be more like old Born of Osiris than we're used to. Drummer Cameron Losch posted the above video on his Facebook with the caption "starting writing the 5th record," which rules. In my review (linked over there with the linked record title), I argued that it's basically a logical step from The Discovery to Tomorrow We Die Alive; after a masterpiece where else is there to go but experimentation? While the experimentation was great, it seems lie Born of Osiris may be getting back to techy-whatever-core roots on the next one… but it's just 38-seconds worth of jams. So we'll see!
