Is there anything Bruce Dickinson, sorry Dr. Bruce Dickinson, can't do? He flies planes, creates jobs and saves stranded passengers. Iron Maiden were set to headline England's Sonisphere festival earier this summer and the frontman wanted to do something special. Ever the showman, Dr. Bruce thought it would be a great idea to recreate a World War 1 dogfight with a fleet of replica planes:
"We’re determined to put on an unforgettable display for everyone," the Maiden frontman said, adding “The manoeuvres we’ll be performing are all based on true-life battles from a hundred years ago. What some of these fighter pilots achieved back then was nothing short of miraculous given the conditions they were working under and the seriousness of what was at stake.”
Naturally, Bruce and company made sure to document this with some video and managed to turn it into a marketing campaign for Iron Maiden's Trooper beer. Check out the killer video:
