Welcome back to The Core Breakdown ya’ll! This week I’m sharing with ya’ll the latest album from Septa entitled Sounds Like Murder. Here’s a little background info for those who may not be aware of Septa:

Septa is a four-piece alternative rock band from Odessa, Ukraine. The quartet was formed in 2010 by vocalist Eugene Tymchyk and guitarist Alexander Kostuchenko. Humbly considering themselves as 'alternative rock,' the band constantly subjects their music to experimentation, influenced by other genres such as mathcore, post-metal and electronica. In 2013, Septa released its debut album, 'The Lover,' produced by Matt Bayles (Isis, Mastodon, Norma Jean, etc.). While the record saw the band flirt with its softer side, with heavy prog rock undertones, the band is charting further into more aggressive territory with its third full-length, 2016's 'Sounds Like Murder.'

The album is a blend of hard rock and metalcore, taking off with somber melodies, and crunchy riffs. You can listen to the Sounds Like Murder below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
