When Animosity officially called it quits, I was bummed. Very bummed. Mostly because I was such a fan of drummer Navene Koperweis, I didn't want to see him go. There was a glimmer of hope. In the band's final update, there were hints of his new project with Jonny Davy on vocals coming out sometime in the future. Nine months later, we find out the band is now titled Fleshwrought and have been signed to Metal Blade Records. There are three tracks now posted on the band's MySpace page.
The music is technical death metal, and having Jonny Davy on vocals certainly does not hurt the cause. It sounds a bit like The Faceless, and yet completely like it's own thing. I cannot wait to hear more from this band. What do you guys think?
