I was very bummed out when The Locust decided to call it quits are not as active as they used to be. Bassist Justin Pearson had one of the most unique voices in hardcore music and I still listen to their albums endlessly. I was excited to hear Justin reappear in the scene with his new band Retox, and the band's forthcoming release Beneath California. It's the band's third full-length release and the first on Epitaph Records. The album comes out next Tuesday, February 10th, but you can get a first listen right now:
