Bangladeafy has been blowing people's minds with their EP releases over the past few years and now they're finally releasing a killer full-length record. It's called Ribboncutter, it's absolutely going to turn your brain into a steaming pile of blithering nothingness, and we're premiering it in full today.
When asked about the record, instrumentalist Jon Ehlers kept it simple and said "I think one thing we were aiming for with this album was ambiguity in techniques, tones and structure. Could we have made another spazzy bass and drum record? Sure. But we didn't need to." He's also right – why bother repeating what you've already heard when Bangladeafy can destroy you in other, brand new and exciting ways?
Ribboncutter’s bass and synths were recorded by Colin Marston at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves, drums by Mike Perotta at Ridge Hill Sound and Michael Gatto at Gatto Records, and vocals by Jonathan Vergara at Pancake Studios, who also mixed and mastered the original tracks.
