If you're looking for something dark and gloomy in the vein of bands like My Dying Bride and Cathedral, you're in the right place. Lux Incerta is now streaming their first new record in a decade, Dark Odyssey. The record was produced by Fabien Devaux (Step In Fluid) and features everything from progressive metal leanings to downright depressing doom.
“The band was on hiatus for a few years, but we've been back since 2018 with a new line up. We’re very proud to share our latest album Dark Odyssey," said Lux Incerta. "It’s the result of three years of work and, although Doom Metal still pumps through our veins, the album takes from a larger pool of influences, across Prog, Death, and Post Black.
"The concept of Dark Odyssey is about a personal journey, a quest into the depths of oneself, on the border between darkness and light, between joy and sadness, life, and death. It’s very special for us, and it takes on a fuller meaning since one of our own bandmates, Michel 'Shervine' Hejazy passed away a few weeks before hitting the studio. This album is dedicated to his memory.”
Dark Odyssey is out April 8. Pre-orders are available here.
