Man, Sleep must've gotten really high when they recorded Dopesmoker in 1996, because it took them nearly 20 years to write and record a new song. I joke of course. The band went on an extended hiatus, finally reuniting a few years ago to start playing shows again. I guess they enjoyed jamming with each other so much that they decided to record a new track.
The track, titled "The Clarity" will be released as part of the [adult swim] Singles series this Monday, June 21st but NPR got the first listen.
Prepare yourself for epic, epic riffs!
THANK YOU RIFF LORDS! May I have another? Actually, in that NPR post the band states they are currently working on a new album. This is really excited.
