Gone Is Gone, the semi-new project featuring Mastodon's Troy Sanders on bass/vocals, Queens Of The Stone Age's Troy Van Leeuwen on guitar, and At The Drive-In drummer Tony Hajjar and guitarist/keyboardist Mike Zarin, will be releasing its debut album Echolocation on January 6 via Rise Records.
The record originally seemed to be in the vein of sludge and sun-baked stoner rock, but the band's new track "Dublin" is something else. There's a ton of effects on the track, and it moves at a glacial pace. So at the very least it's a bit of a jarring listen, though a interesting one at that!
