Heavy metal grandpa John Hetlinger got his name out there whilst on America's Got Talent. The 82-year old covered Drowning Pool's "Bodies," and a Rob Zombie track, and the latter took notice. Drowning Pool invited Hetlinger up on stage to cover "Bodies," and he'll be reprising the role on November 29 at the band's Colorado Springs, CO show, and November 30 in Denver, CO.
I was going to make a joke about Drowning Pool trying to stay relevant with this move, but those guys have 2.3 million fans on Facebook. So people clearly still care.
