When Jim Bruer told us, when we were interviewing him on the Livecast, that he was going to release a metal album, my curiosity had certainly piqued. Today, nearly two a half years later, Breuer officially announced Songs From the Garage, due out May 27th via Metal Blade Records.
He released his first single over at Rolling Stone, and while it's mostly a spoken word track, he does go full-on Steel Panther for the chorus:

It will be interesting to see how fans react to this album. Breuer landed a huge get in getting AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson to contribute to two tracks, "My Rock n Roll Dream" and "Mr. Rock n Roll," and those might just be the last two recordings Johnson ever does, since he is on the outs with AC/DC.
Breuer enlisted former Anthrax and current Volbeat guitarist Rob Caggiano to produce the album and play the guitar, and his band, Loud and Rowdy, is rounded out by bassist Joe Vigliotti and drummer Mike Tichy.
What do you think of the track?
