Here's The First Song From Joey Jordison's SCAR THE MARTYR

When I hit the play button on "Blood Host," the new track from Joey Jordison's side project, Scar The Martyr, I thought "oh this riff could be a Slipknot riff," but then once the vocals kicked in, I realized this was a completely different beast, and it sounds pretty good.

Revolver has a stream up, although it might just be US restricted. Metal Hammer has a UK stream going.

By the end of the track, I was certainly convinced of the awesomeness of the band. In addition to Jordison behind the drum kit, the band features guitarists Jed Simon (Strapping Young Lad) and Kris Norris (ex-Darkest Hour) as well as lead vocalist Henry Derek, keyboardist Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails).

The band's self-titled album hits stores October 1 via Roadrunner Records. They'll be on the road with Danzig later this month. Get dates here.
