To celebrate the release of James LaBrie's new solo record, Impermanent Resonance, you can stream the whole thing! It's way more metal than you think.
James LaBrie had to have been a busy man over the course of the past year, knocking out writing for both the new Dream Theater record as well as his solo record. In the end it seems to have paid off, considering that his solo work is ridiculously metal and the new Dream Theater single is the best thing they've done in a while!
All that instru-metal you're hearing is courtesy of Matt Guillory on keyboards and background Vocals, Marco Sfogli on guitars, Ray Riendeau (Star Monarchy) on bass, and Peter Wildoer (Darkane) on drums and the screams. Let's just face it; no matter how much LaBrie gets hated on via the Internet, the dude is really talented and apparently has a pretty open mind when it comes to new and different sounds. Remember to buy it when you're done streaming!
