Korn are currently in the midst of a 20th anniversary tour. They have been playing their entire self-titled debut from front to back at recent shows, including playing the song "Daddy" for the first time in almost two decades.
The band just released a new clip where they discuss the writing of their song "Faget." It got me thinking what would the response be if they released the song today? Of course, we've previously criticized All That Remains and Attila for use of the word.
Attila's song "Proving Ground" was labelled by their frontman as an anti-bullying song, even though the main lyric is "who's the faggot now," implying that the bully calling the victim a faggot is actually the faggot… proving that Fronz doesn't exactly understand empowerment.
Meanwhile, I feel this is truly an empowering song to all the freaks out there, who might be effeminate and get picked on in school. Let Jonathan Davis explain to you why he wrote the song:
