Metal Blade Records is celebrating a landmark anniversary this year, with 30 years in the business. In the wake of another label collapsing, this is surely a sign that despite some hiccups, metal is as strong as ever. Recently, Fuse spoke with label founder Brian Slagel about the humble beginnings of the label, discovering Metallica, Slayer, GWAR, Cannibal Corpse and As I Lay Dying and some other cool anecdotes.
