Seeing as though I live in New York, that really isn't saying much, but still…Metallica have a HUGE jam space. As we wrote about last week, each member of the band designed their own Vans shoe, and as part of the promo for the shoe launch, Vans got legendary skater Steve Caballero and James Hetfield together, and Het gave a tour of the Metallica headquarters.
We've seen this space before, specifically in the Some Kind of Monster documentary, but this is the first time the band ever gave a thorough tour, and wow, I want to go to there! Watch the video:
Pretty insane, right?
My favorite tidbit from the piece is James revealing that he always wanted to be a graphic designer, saying that he designed the Metallica logo and the ninja star and that his dream was to start a t-shirt company, and he sort of succeeded in that dream.
