In the interim between their 2013 release The Mountain and whatever they do next, Haken reworked some of their old 2007-2008 demo material into a new release called Restoration. The final track, 19-minute long progressive odyssey "Crystalized," features guests spots from guitarist Pete Rinaldi (Headspace) and drummer Mike Portnoy (Flying Colors, ex-Dream Theater, etc.). One of these guests contributes far more to the track than the other. The one that does less definitely looks cooler during his contribution, though.
Ready for the big pay off? Are you ready for Mike Portnoy to absolutely devastate you with his technical mastery and complete understanding of music, making Rinaldi's contribution look plain stupid?

Gong Portnoy, man.
If you're not floored by this insane contribution to the song then I really don't know what to tell you. Figure out what's really important in your life and revaluate your musical tastes. Seriously.
