A new Metallica song to kick off the week?! Yes, please! Metallica were on The Howard Stern Show this morning on SiriusXM and thought they would celebrate by unveiling a new track off their upcoming album, Hardwired.
Metallica's new song "Moth Into Flame" really, truly ought to scratch the itch that Metallica fans were complaining about with the band's initial single "Hardwired." You can stream the track below with its accompanying video via the band's own YouTube channel. It features a ton of great guitar leads, gets a little more progressive than the last track, but still retains that fire that Hardwired… To Self-Destruct seems to have about it.

Seriously, if those leads had a few more notes and some blasting, it'd be pretty damn close to being a melo-death track! Plus, it reminds me a lot of …And Justice For All, which is a good thing.
Basically, it's a killer track and there's really no viable reason to hate it. Oh, and remember if you're going to pre-order the album, that the deluxe edition's third disc has some changes made to it!
