If you grabbed the first pressing of Obscura's new album Akróasis, you were treated to a track called "The Origin of Primal Expression." The track closed out the album, and if you listened all the way through the record, you'd notice that it sounded suspiciously familiar. Albeit much slower, it's actually a single acoustic guitar version of the title track!
‘The Origin Of Primal Expression” shows the title track of our new album stripped down to only one acoustic guitar and is meant to give a slight insight behind the scenes of writing an Obscura song. The two main themes show that certain Death vibes are still present and audible within the multilayered song structures we work with.
Akroasis‘ as a whole is based on the regular eight songs you hear on the album, the bonus tracks are a gesture of gratitude to everyone who purchases physical copies of the record. Music, lyrics and artworks together build an album, a certain vibe and flair within the songs, barely comprehensible with a few files stored on a harddisc
