PIG DESTROYER's Mass And Volume EP Streaming in Full!

Not the baseball grindcore band this time!

Not the baseball grindcore band this time!

Pig Destroyer is largely known as a band whose speed knows no limits. In 2008, the group variated from lunatic speed to put out the sludgy Natasha EP that consisted of one 38-minute long song. In 2012 they went right back to the grindstone with Book Burner and it seemed as though slow Pig Destroyer was a one-off thing. In 2013 the band put out Mass and Volume in memory of Relapse Records employee Pat Egan as a fundraiser, showcasing their slow side once more! The release was a limited one on Bandcamp and then disappeared for a whole year… until now, where it's being streamed, sold, the whole nine yards.

So why return to the slowness? Well, in short they really didn't. The EP was recorded in 2007 during the Phantom Limb sessions where Natasha was also recorded. Think of the EP as another insight into that odd time in the band's career, but most of all enjoy it!
