Puig Destroyer, which I thought was a typo for a while but is actually a grindcore "supergroup", posted their first single on Bandcamp! It's surprisingly good.
Puig Destroyer are a baseball-theme grindcore band named after Yasiel Puig, just in case you didn't click the link in the intro and were still a little confused. Anyway, thsi new song "One Man, Five Tools," doesn't appear to be baseball themed. Unless there's some reference in there that I don't get… maybe it's about pitchers and their fingers? Who knows. Anyway, the band said about their upcoming EP to LambGoat:
We've got basic tracking done for our debut EP, and we should have a track from said EP fairly soon. Please stay tuned for updates/tunes. The roughs I've heard are ridiculously awesome and fun and raw as all hell.
Sweet deal! It does make me a little sad that Riley from Thrice will be programming the drums instead of playing them. The guy can play, let him play! Or let him practice his ass off so he can play! Then when Thrice comes back they'll do another Artist in the Ambulance, but heavier! Anyway, we'll keep you posted on the progress of the EP.
