Scale The Summit's Chris Letchford is a really talented guitarist, and it seems like his new project islnds might be my favorite musical outlet of his yet. If my memory serves correct, Letchford originally premiered islnds sometime late 2015, though due to some legal issues he had to rescind the whole project and cancel the pre-orders.
Now the project is back on track to release History Of Robots on September 21. The album will feature guest vocals from Joey Secchiaroli of The Reign Of Kindo, as well as Ashe O'Hara, formerly of Tesseract. Only two songs will feature vocals, while the other 7 will be instrumental. You can check out a non-vocals song below called "crashng," which is pretty chilled out and reminds me a little bit of a happier version of Palms.
