Allegaeon will be releasing Proponents For Sentience on September 23 via Metal Blade, its first album with frontman Riley McShane (Continuum, Sons Of Aurelius, etc.). While losing a frontman can be a seriously huge damper for some bands, McShane does an excellent job filling the void left by now ex-vocalist Ezra Haynes.
It also helps that the band's new track, "Proponent For Sentience III – The Extermination," has Soilwork vocalist Bjorn "Speed" Strid on the chorus… y'know, for maximum catchiness. Oh, and Scar Symmetry's guitarist Benjamin Ellis also has a guest spot on the song!
