As I was researching an image to accompany this post, I had a startling realization. Man, Soundgarden look fucking old now. These dudes were like the coolest band to me in the 90s and now they just look like a bunch of dads. I'm sure to you, our humble reader, who is most likely 10 years younger than I, you probably think who are these old folks Metal Injection is writing about, and is it even metal?
Well, maybe this new song isn't. Soundgarden surprised everybody today by releasing a new single, "Storm."

I say surprised us because as of this moment there is no news of a new album or anything. Metal Insider found a quote from guitarist Kim Thayil where he said to expect new music from the band sometime in 2015. Is this the beginning of the new music train? I guess we'll just wait and see.
In related news, Temple of The Dog, the Pearl Jam/Soundgarden vultron-like band performed this weekend at a charity event. Eddie Vedder does not look as old:
