It's been four years since Deathspell Omega's Drought EP, which I was convinced would be the band's finest hour. Four years we've waited, and Drought has been followed up with The Synarchy Of Molten Bones, which is just a whole separate level of black metal that we've never experienced before. Whoever drummed on this cannot be human, and the rest of the instrumentation keeps up with the absolutely frenetic pace.
Seriously, holy shit to every single thing about this EP. If you only have time for one track, go with the closer "Internecine Iatrogenesis," because it's just nuts. Pre-order The Synarchy Of Molten Bones before it comes out on November 8.
