"Of Feathers and Flames" takes an atmospherically heavy approach to the traditional black metal sound and sort of reminds me of Mayhem and Ulcerate, while "Of Shrines and Sovereigns" gets a little weird with different sections but keeps it interestingly heavy throughout.
I mean realistically, who expected anything less than great from the same dudes who put out Obsidium?
