Your First Taste of New DREAM THEATER (For Real This Time)

Ok, this time it's totally real. Roadrunner has uploaded the first full track from Dream Theater's upcoming album, A Dramatic Turn of Events. The nine-minute opus is titled "On The Backs Of Angels" and is filled with signature keybaord and guitar shredding and not incredibly irritating vocals by James LaBrie. While Frank and Noa are super-huge fans of the band, I could never get passed LaBrie's vocals. On this track though, it's more about the instrumentals, with LaBrie keeping quiet for a good portion of the track. Jordan Rudess's keys really shine on this track and while I am no expert on drums (I'll let Frank take that crown), new drummer Mike Mangini seems to fit right in.
