Hey there, tech fiends. It's that time of the week again. Before we dive into today's focus, here's the usual weekly reminder that if you're looking for even more sick bands to hear, all prior editions of this series can be perused here.
It’s been almost two years since I covered two releases in the same week here. But, there’s a reason for bringing that format back today so please follow along with me. Both of the ones being discussed today are new material sitting at two songs apiece, and, both are groups I’ve been following for some time.
The first of the two, Replicant, I’ve helped with coverage and premieres from their inception up into the present. They’re a New Jersey-based crew focusing on Gorguts-type dissonant tech-death, with enough outside influences to stick apart from being a mere clone worship type act. Every release they get better, so, do check out their two new songs below from their split release with grinders Bayht Lahm that’s aptly titled, Welcome to New Jersey. Especially since Replicant is hard at work on their next full-length as we speak!
For today’s second band to be covered, we move on to Inoculation. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Inoculation made a big splash with their September 2018 full-length debut, Pure Cosmic Dread. Inoculation hone in on an old school death metal approach fused with tech-death inclinations that ends up feeling like the best of both worlds ultimately. Similar to Replicant, quite recently, the group dropped two more new songs, on an EP called Anatomize, both of the songs are tunes that further the projects sound beyond just being new material from a project I already enjoyed.
As usual, the music speaks for itself, and it’s equally worth checking out the new songs from Replicant and Inoculation. You can follow them through the Replicant Facebook Page and the Inoculation Facebook Page. Until next time, stay tech.
