Hey there tech fiends, it's that time of the week again. I've got a very special song premiere in store for today, but before we dive into it here's the usual weekly reminder that all prior editions of this series can be perused here.
Every once in awhile, a truly remarkable new band rises up that takes the scene by surprise and become instant favorites. Newcomers Virulent Depravity are that rare god-tier band, and we're here today to spread the unholy sonic gospel of "Mechanized Defilement". Ultimately what separates the good tech-death from the truly impressive stuff depends almost exclusively on the quality and uniqueness of the rhythm riffs combined with killer laser focused songwriting. Both traits are ones Virulent Depravity has in spades, few bands can touch the incredible musicianship and expert songwriting on display throughout "Mechanized Defilement". Even fewer still can keep up such an insane level of quality across the course of an entire album, a feat I can assure you they achieve on their forthcoming debut album, Fruit of the Poisoned Tree.
So check out our exclusive premiere of "Mechanized Defilement" below and become a new believer, unless you're already an Emmure worshipping heretic, in which case I can't help you at all. If you dig what you're hearing, Fruit of the Poisoned Tree can be pre-ordered through The Artisan Era Records in various bundle formats here and on their Bandcamp here, and also at the Virulent Depravity Bandcamp page here. Be sure to follow the band over on their Virulent Depravity Facebook page as well.
