The New AMOGH SYMPHONY Song Is Terrifying And Amazing

Prog metal doesn't begin to describe this. This isn't post-apocalyptic. This is the apocalypse happening.

Amogh Symphony has always been a vastly under appreciated band whose brand of instrumental music borders on insane technicality all while telling a story. The group released Abolishing the Obsolete System in 2009 and The Quantum Hack Code in 2010, both albums dealing with advanced societies, concepts of war and sentient technology (the former in song title only and the latter in spoken word). With The Quantum Hack Code (for reference), there's a structure and a familiarity in the voice telling the story- you get comfortable with it even though the story is grim. For this reason, the first single off the groups' new album Vectorscan, and all the information we've received about the record, creeps me out.

Consider a few things here, such as the voice you hear at the end sounds like a destroyed version of The Quantum Hack Code narrator or that right after it finishes speaking the song takes on a very human quality with an acoustic guitar… only to fall apart again.

What's that noise at the end? What the hell is about the emerge, attack, infect or obliterate? We'll have to wait until Vectorscan comes out in September.

You have never heard anything like Vectorscan and there will never be anything like Vectorscan ever again. I promise you that.
