The Obsessed, who is fronted by Scott "Wino" Weinrich of Saint Vitus, Wino, and Shrinebuilder fame, reunited in early 2016 after sort of fading out after a reunion in 2011. Prior to that, the band broke up in 1995 shortly after its final album The Church Within, which was released in 1994.
Finally, a full 23 years later, The Obsessed will be releasing a new album! Sacred is out on April 7 via Relapse Records, and the new song "Razor Wire" showcases that the band clearly hasn't lost its touch. Plus, who the hell masterfully uses a talk box anymore? Even if you weren't aware that you missed The Obsessed, you do now after hearing this song.
