Twilight of the Gods are releasing their new record Fire on the Mountain come September 27 on Seasons of Mist, and honestly I'm getting a little more excited about it with the new song!

"Children of Cain" is a grower for me; the first time through I didn't really enjoy the song… it was too Iron Maiden-ey for me with not enough balls. Then the guitar solo kicked in and it just sort of clicked in my head. Expecting something super heavy and fast out of Twilight of the Gods isn't what you're listening for. It's tried-and-true heavy metal with a little gallop and a whole lot of vocals. Seriously, the vocals are badass as hell in this song and the song they've put out before. Let "Children of Cain" grow on you, you'll thank me later.
