Kittie has two reunion shows on deck for this year – Blue Ridge Rock Festival in September and the When We Were Young festival this October. The band has been rehearsing in the meantime, and has now posted footage of themselves practicing the 2009 track "Cut Throat." Added the band, "A little sneak peek at practice progress in our creepy jam dungeon. We had a blast this past weekend."
Kittie guitarist and vocalist Morgan Lander recently revealed that there's more to come outside the two festivals, saying "this is just the beginning."
"We've got the festival — lots to look forward to with that," said Lander in a previous interview. "There may be some other things maybe coming down the pike — one or two things — but you have to watch [our social media]. We might have one or two cool things coming down the pike, but for now those are the only dates that we have. And we're super looking forward to them. And I think this is just the beginning of… You'll be seeing us around a little more."
Kittie's lineup is Morgan Lander, co-founding drummer and vocalist Mercedes Lander, lead guitarist Tara McLeod who joined in 2005, and bassist Ivana "Ivy" Vujic who was originally in the band between 2007 and 2012. On Vujic rejoining the band for the shows, Lander said Vujic is "an incredible bass player. I don't think that Ivy gets enough credit. She is absolutely incredible. So it's gonna be great."
